pickVery much enjoyed my re-read of one of my childhood favourites, last read over 35 years ago (no, that CAN'T be right. Can it?! 😳) It's still fun & breezy & utterly lacking in any genuine conflict - just a 10 year old pony mad girl's ultimate wish fulfilment...though the very un-horsey 46 year old she turned into had to do some serious suspending of disbelief! I don't, however, remember the ending being so sentimental!
I've been in a weird mood lately, kinda nostalgic I guess, and I'm craving a comfort read. So I turned to this beloved trilogy from my pony mad childhood. This is the first one, tagged book is the second in the trilogy. This was the first book I got out of the Young Adult section of the library and I remember thinking it was so grown up & sophisticated 🤣 I read it so many times! I can still recite the mouse in the teapot scene word for word!
