Unfinished Life: John F. Kennedy, 1917-1963
Unfinished Life: John F. Kennedy, 1917-1963 | Robert Dallek
The #1 bestseller that forever changed how we thought about JFK, published with a new epilogue in time for the 50th anniversary of Kennedy's assassination. When it was originally published in 2003, AN UNFINISHED LIFE brought to light new revelations about JFK's health, his love affairs, his brothers and father, and the path JFK would have taken in the Vietnam entanglement if he had survived. A blockbuster bestseller, the book was embraced by critics and readers as a landmark assessment of our 35th president. Now, in time for what promises to be remarkable media attention on Kennedy's death and legacy, AN UNFINISHED LIFE returns with a new, strikingly incisive examination by Robert Dallek in which he further assesses JFK's impact and hold on American culture.

I found this to be a very good read. Especially if you're not fully aware of this man...or his presidency. It's a #chunkster so be prepared to settle in for a few days read. Truly a very good and interesting book. #bookspin @thearomaofbooks

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Working my way through the presidential bios. This one was good. I was a little bummed that the only audio version was abridged (although not THAT bummed since it came after really long books about Truman and Eisenhower). Still learned a lot, especially about Kennedy‘s foreign policy experiences.

Roary47 I‘m encouraged to read through the bios now. What a great way to learn more about history. 1y
fredthemoose @Roary47 Give it a shot! At least for a time period you‘re interested in. I started a few years ago and it has really shored up a lot of my understanding of American history. A lot of the biographies are long, but many are also quite good. (edited) 1y

My plan is to read at least a chapter a day in an effort to start working more non-fiction off my TBR pile.

Kaye I will be interested in seeing your reviews since I like nonfiction. Sorry if this posts twice. My first comment isn‘t showing up. 🤨 7y
