An Unremarkable Body

This is 1 of my favourite days of my year. I escape all my responsibilities & head to the 🌆 outskirts to be alone in a 🏨 for the night & I ❤️ it. I tell everybody all about it. Ha! My 🧠 & body are 🥱 & this is the perfect pick me up. I woke up this morning & played on my 📱 then got up to prepare 🫖 & 2 🫚 nut bickies before breakfast & heading down to spa & sauna. I 📖 on the 🚊 all the way to Sydney then op shopped & out for 🌮 & now a 🛀.

Oryx @TrishB Just finished and I really liked it. It's quite subtle and gradually uncovers the story of the narrator's mother. It's not dramatic , just quietly realistic. Thought the writing was great. 2y

4/5 ❤️. I throughly enjoyed this book. A young woman attempts to piece together her past following the death of her mother. The story is built around her mother autopsy report. While many parts of the autopsy are unremarkable her mother lived many struggles and hardships of her own. Laura tried to understand her place in life by attempting to understand her mother better. Great read for the second book of the year.

Loving this books so far. I had to stop for a little bit and listen to my youngest two children argue while they were emptying their hampers. My daughter Gracyn told her brother Graden who is six “ you need to listen to me because I AM AN 8 YEAR OLD GIRL.” I laughed so hard ❤️❤️❤️

Really could give this a 4.5 star rating. Really liked it! Beautifully written debut - a touch melancholy but I really liked Laura and this story of piecing her mother's life together following her death.
