Selected from the French writer's vast collection of verse, this bilingual collection introduces readers to the breadth of Hugo's poetic vision, which covered religion, love, politics, and other incisive themes.
BarbaraBBIt must be great to discover them all. Next please visit Oman. I was there last week and it‘s a wonderful country 🧡5y
GatheringBooks@BarbaraBB true! that‘s the idea. see as much of our new home country as we possibly can. was actually in oman in 2016 for 5 days i think to conduct 3 full days of teacher training. i barely had time to really see the city though. :(5y
BarbaraBBMaybe you will come there again. It must be great anyhow to travel around there. I really envy you!5y

GatheringBooks@BarbaraBB aww, it is good to have a bit of a break right now, and get to know our new home country. we have been advised though to cancel/postpone all upcoming travels because of covid-19. so much uncertainty. my keynote in hongkong and korea have been cancelled 😭😭😭5y
BarbaraBBThat is true of course. Korea and China aren‘t the best places to visit right now. We‘ll have to wait and see what comes of Corona. I still hope it‘ll turn out to be just another flu.5y
BarbaraBBI hope you can travel there soon again to give your presentations 🤞🏽5y
GatheringBooks@BarbaraBB i am super crossing my fingers, too. :) appreciate the well-wishes. i also just received an invitation to speak in singapore in november. it will be great to go back, even for just a short period. While I am excited, I know enough to not make any definitive plans as yet. 😭🤣😭5y
GatheringBooks@BarbaraBB i am a teacher educator! :) i conduct professional development workshop to teachers - doing research, too, as an academic. my research has to do with picturebooks, so i love librarians, and work closely with them. but my phd is in clinical psychology. :) so wearing multiple hats.5y
BarbaraBBThat is so cool, to be able to apply your a academic research directly into your work and share it with teachers. You must be famous, to be asked all over the world!5y
GatheringBooks@BarbaraBB hahahaa. i don‘t know about famous. i think it has more to do with being at the right place at the right time and meeting the right people and likeminded individuals. i have always done research on things i feel deeply and passionately about, and i am glad it has led me to reading and promoting its value - not just for literacy but for self-growth and understanding of the larger world outside one‘s self. 💕🧚🏼♀️📚📚📚5y
BarbaraBBImpressive. And how great to combine passion and work! 🧡5y
From Twinkle, Twinkle, Planet Blue ✨ a children's poetry collection by Morag Styles.
Found while wandering through the Children's Literature collection at my university's library recently. Browsing with a little nephew in mind, or maybe just for myself... 📚
