pickEach page evokes a bit of quiet, tradition, and perhaps nostalgia in the reader. The illustrations are gorgeous; I especially like how light is handled in each composition and the use of white space. Each word on each page is PERFECT; there are just the right amount of words (very few) to draw us in and describe the kind of quiet. I also love how certain moments link together. A seemingly simple book that is a must for your holiday collection.
