December theme, for Fictional Hangover Book Club. Holiday Escape: 𝘌𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬, 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘵. I've spent the last couple of days with the London Pack. Romancing the Werewolf inspired me to make Wassail. How To Marry A Werewolf is the next to last in my #great2020parasolversedoover. On to Reticence! 🦊🎩☂️👒🐺

5/5⭐ Yes of course I love Biffy and Lyall, and the pack, and the story, and the humor and etiquette and style and touching moments and DAMMIT CHANNING STOP SHOWING LITTLE NICE MOMENTS YOU HAVE A REPUTATION.
But as much as all those things are glorious and heartwarming and perfect by themselves, the single most charming part of this book is that grown-ass humans, vampires, and werewolves are brought utterly to their knees by kittens and infants.
I‘m going to list this under “occupation” on my next tax return.
I really enjoyed this homecoming story for Professor Lyall, such an underestimated but wonderful character.
And the pack with a baby dropped off on their doorstep... hilarious!

Next up in the #ParasolProtectorate read along. We‘re getting close to the homestretch, not much left before Reticence is released.
A cute novella about Biffy and Professor Lyall and the new pack dynamics.
A sweet and fun novella, with my favourite romantic trope of all time - mutual pining! I really liked how Gail showed us how the London pack was settling in and how Biffy was becoming used to being Alpha of the pack. Definitely read it if you‘ve read the other books in the series!
Read this #parasolverse novella while traveling for the holidays. It‘s delightful to get an #lgbt romance featuring two favorite side characters in this universe, plus it‘s holiday-themed!
Also check out the NYPL pouch that perfectly fits my Kindle Fire. I‘m still pretty surprised (but delighted!) to find myself liking paranormal romance #romantsy 🐺💕🐺
This was a reread. But it was a Christmassy reread
Huge fan of Gail Carriger and this novella did not disappoint. It was wonderful seeing beloved characters again and the story was as charming as ever. Her writing is just so delightful and witty and I enjoy it so much!
I have been ‘shipping Lyall & Biffy since way back in the days of The Parasol Protectorate. This novella is all I hoped for minus the handwringing. Gentlemen, divest yourselves of ALL the clothing and HAVE AT IT!! (Sincerely, a voyeuristic fan.)
Biff and Lyall were my favorite werewolf couple and I am so glad to finally learn what happens to them. Told in Carriger‘s usual fun, breezy, laugh out loud style, this book was perfect for reminding me what makes reading fun. #25infive
A lovely book I finished in one day and a parcel arrived today with the perfect cushion for my reading nook thanks to a friend who knows me soooo well!
OK... It is kind of a blame it on Litsy kind of I knew it was coming... After 2 months of no book buying, I emptied my amazon basket of stuff I had wanted for a long time and one of today's suggestions... Now I still have to finish my current book...
Rhys Ford has announced a werewolf series and I think fans of Gail Carriger‘s work might be interested. Ford‘s other supernatural/fantasy work is good so I have high hopes for this new series. https://t.co/4ttYAdDpfc
Latest in Gail Carriger's Parasolverse. Biffy is now in charge of London Werewolves and Professor Lyall is back.
Quick read that resolves lose ends from main series.
