Verity is an engaging human,Nancy is for nostalgic sake, Emily Bell‘s book has fleshed out, intriguing characters, themes of friendship, grief, letting go, The train was about true giving, adventure, 2nd chances.
In process: #goldenageclub-English murder;teashop & bookstore-what‘s not to like? another murder in the snow in the early 1900s.
Not to confuse you all, but I am reading 2 very different books titled “Murder in the Snow.”
Author Verity Bright, 2020
Author Gladys Mitchell, 1950- the one pictured above.
Lovely atmosphere - a snowy country Manor, a cast of village characters, obliging Scotland Yard and an intelligent aunt / lady sleuth! Time was a little slippery jumping days sometimes weeks between sentences and the last 40 pages could have been edited a little tighter - but overall a very satisfying classic Christmas mystery.
Seems like the right kinda day to be starting this one!
Snow day today! Yes, this is WAY too much snow for October... even in North Dakota. ❄️🥶
School was cancelled so Axton and I got to stay home. We had reading time this morning, then spent the afternoon creating blood splatter wrapping paper with red paint for his #nightmareswap books. I think it turned out suitably creepy. 🔪☠️🖌
