Finished the last novella in the Three Dark Crowns series. Very interesting! I like how she explored the way things are not always as they seem. 🖤

Omg 😮 I might actually have to use the spoilers tag. YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS, ORACLE QUEENS HAVE BEEN DROWNED AT BIRTH BECAUSE OF SOME JUMPSTART ARRON!????!???!
The only thing missing from this novella was closure. I wanted more of an ending. But otherwise I enjoyed a better look into the oracle and war gifts of this Queendom.
Literally me with the tagged book. I‘m like nope, there‘s not enough pages to end the way I want it to end. Not cool Blake, not cool.

A short story in Blake‘s series. This one was a flash back to the history of the realm. Good but a little sudden, the action did not really build up.
I still value curation above algorithms, but yeah, #Kobo, you‘re pretty on target here...
Of the series, I would have to say this is my least favorite story. While it was great returning to the world, I would have to agree with what the others are saying about this feeling rushed. Everything escalates very quickly and there doesn‘t seem to be enough development. This felt like a very small and poor taste of what I know to be a great series. I will say, however, that I am very curious to see how this story factors in with the next book!

This was a nice story about the Oracle Queen, but I found it a bit hard to connect to. Still, backstories are always awesome! 3*
🤨 This one felt REALLY rushed and wasn‘t nearly as engaging as the other novella, let alone the main story. I guessed the villain/their method at the very beginning. That wasn‘t the case with the other books in the series. And despite the setting of 500 years ago, the characters (especially villains) were like repeat personalities of those in the main story. I still love the Three Dark Crowns series, but this one was kind of disappointing.
