Flyboy Action Figure Comes with Gasmask
Flyboy Action Figure Comes with Gasmask | Jim Munroe
1 post | 1 read
Ryan is a university student dealing with the normal problems of a 22-year-old guy -- shyness, virginity, weird roommates, and a massive crush on Cassandra, a waitress at his local greasy spoon. (Oh, and a freakish ability to change into a fly.) When he finally gets up the nerve to ask Cassandra for a date, he learns that the two have more in common than they first thought. (Turns out that Cassandra can make things disappear.) Sharing their secrets for the first time, Ryan and Cassandra realize they were made for each other...and to battle forces of evil! Inspired by Sailor Moon, they team up to fight the villians in their own backyard, taking on cigarette barons, right wing newspapers, and the overzealous local police. But can the Superheroes for Social Justice transform the world in time? Find out in.. Here's my #cult5 as requested @Marchpane @Moray_Reads and @Billypar

When I think Cult books I think devout fan base for something not universally known.

There is a small press devoted to publishing books that attempt to unravel the mysteries of The Book of the New Sun (which Torturer kicks off). I own 2 of them!

People attend screenings of The Last Unicorn in costume and quote along

Flyboy author Jim Munroe was a big...

TobeyTheScavengerMonk deal in the mid-'90s indie publishing scene. - I read an article once about a guy who goes to fantasy conventions and sets up like a sidewalk preacher, but instead of the Word, he tries to talk people into reading The Lies of Locke Lamora because it's just that good. - And Sandman... well, it's Sandman. The wallpaper of the Goth aesthetic. Sandman is also perfect, in case you were wondering. (edited) 7y
DGRachel Lies of Locke Lamora is on my TBR. I guess I need to bump it up. 😊 7y
TricksyTails 😍 Look at all that beautiful Sandman! And The Last Unicorn 🦄♥️ I think my younger self cried and cried and cried over that story. I'll have to bump up Lies of Locke Lamora on my tbr. So much love for this photo. 7y
Billypar I really like the Last Unicorn movie but never read the book. The book would have the advantage of not having the completely random score by America (that's not a knock to any huge America fans, but it's seriously weird and dates the film more than the animation 😶) 7y
