Very well done picture book/graphic novel of the events and extraordinary heroes of 9/11. Audience says it‘s for children, but are they ready for this? It still hurts my heart to read the words and see the images.

This one packs a punch! Well-chosen details, quotes from eyewitnesses and survivors, clear text, and impactful illustrations teach about what happened on September 11, 2001. It‘s a good reminder for us who lived through that time and an effective intro for those born afterwards. #September11 #WorldTradeCenter

This book introduces the tragic events that took place on September 11th, 2001, to children. It allows young readers to learn about this piece of history. It includes good, factual details. The illustrations are well done too, not being too violent/gruesome but instead focusing on what occurred that day and the emotions felt. The illustrations played a key role in this book.

I think I would include this book in my classroom because this event is apart of history now. Therefore, it‘s important for even children to be aware of the gist of it. I think they would be intrigued to learn more about this event that there parents probably remember happening when they were a child.

I would read this story to 3rd and 4th graders. Young kids might be scared of the topic because it is very scary. 3rd and 4th graders will be able to get a background before reading the story to help them understand the topic.

This is a nonfiction children's book. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to people to read. The facts of this book are accurate because this is what really happened on 9/11. Significant facts are included which makes the story very sad but real.

This nonfiction book is good because it contains a subject that I think is important to today. Its information presented is all accurate, and most of that event is being covered through the book. Its content is also relevant and intended for the right kid of audience making it still easy enough and enjoyable for a kid to read and understand!

This book is good for the classroom because students can see this and learn about the history their embedded in. It gives good history and lets students be exposed to the world and what goes on around them. Its content is also just enjoyable and I think it would be interesting for the students!

I would read this book to my classroom either on 9/11 or right around 9/11 so the students can understand the significance of this day and be able to ask questions if they need to. This is a very touchy subject all over the country.

This is a children's nonfiction book about the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers in NYC on September 11, 2001. The book is written in a way that is understandable for young children, but not too gruesome or cruel. The illustrations are very well done, but not in a bloody and gruesome way. The author's note talks about the attacks and the impact it left on America. The author dedicates this book to the fifteen dead, people from his/her hometown

I loved the illustrations. They show the tragedy and panic throughout this day in a soft, detailed way.

I really enjoyed reading this book about 9/11. This topic is very interesting to me because I was alive, but just a baby so I do not remember it. This book gives so much detail about what was happening in the world on that day. I would definitely read this to my class when this topic comes up.

In the North Tower, the fire department even had trouble contacting their fire fighters as they climbed the stairs to the impact zone. Their handheld radios barely operated. Making and receiving orders was hit or miss.

I loved the illustrations with curvy lines and not too much detail but very good shading.

I loved this book about 9/11. It is told like a story but still contains the facts. This would be a good book for children to read about this historical tragedy if they do not know much about it. The illustrations help visualize the order of events as well.

This book is a tale that all Americans have heard before. We often studied it in school. This book talks about the horrors that happened on September 11th.

I will definitely have this book in my classroom. It is important to teach children about 9/11 and this book does it in a simply way with kid friendly illustrations

American Is Under Attack by Don Brown, 2011. This book told the tragedy that happened on 9/11. It told the story from start to finish and did not leave any details out. The illustrations are very good.

This is a book that would be good for a teacher to read to students on 9/11 to inform them about what happened that day long ago

America Is Under Attack by Don Brown was written in 2011. This book is about the events of September 11th. It tells the story of the different people involved in the events including the firefighters who were responding to the crash. The events that happened that day are sad, but kids still need to learn about what happened because it is part of our history. I think this is a great book for teachers to read to kids to inform them about everything

I love that this book uses real names and stories. Nothing is fabricated.

This nonfiction book is a true eye-opener. It can be hard to explain the 9/11 attacks to a young child (especially if they weren‘t born yet) and we tend to just show videos or movies to explain. However, this book does an excellent job making it feel real, but not really sugarcoating things. The illustrations are beautiful and really focus on important aspects.
