I had so much fun moderating this panel of illustrators, artists, picturebook creators, and curators from India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan (Chihiro Art Museum curators), Spain/China, Singapore, and myself from the United Arab Emirates. The recorded live session of “what makes a good illustration” inn picturebook art can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/AFCCSingapore/ #LibrariansOfLitsy #TeachersOfLitsy
If you are free tomorrow #LibrariansOfLitsy and #TeachersOfLitsy and fellow bibliophiles and lovers of #kidlit, join us for tomorrow‘s panel discussion that I am pleased to be moderating. This will be streamed live @ Asian Festival of Children‘s Content Facebook page by 2 PM Singapore time, 10 AM, my time in the UAE. See ya!
#ReadingResolutions Day 14: I gave away several GatheringBooks #BookishTotes (printed by ze husband) containing a few of my own books and some local picturebook biographies when I delivered a conference presentation during the National Association for Gifted Children in Baltimore back in 2014. I shared about what exceptional children can learn from multicultural picturebook biographies.
