“Hello, Autumn.“ I like this quote because it does not give a negative vibe to the story. It is welcoming the new time of year. I am also just excited for the fall season to start!

This would be a great book to read to younger grades when the seasons are changing and to teach about the seasons as well. You could have a supporting activity along with it where the kids make a chart of things that they notice when the seasons change, just like how the book pointed out specifics.

Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn, Kenard Pak, 2016. This book takes us to different areas and types of things that are in nature. We discover how the seasons change and what that means for each area we previously read about. They talk about the plants, animals and clothes to wear during the change from summer to fall.

“Some of us, like Astor and phlox, are late bloomers”.

This is the perfect book to introduce seasons and how they change. It was the perfect book to point out what changes and how they change.

“Now that the wind has come, I often get covered with fallen leaves”

I love how the animals and insects create a dialogue through the story and how as the season changes the characters Change as well.

I love the illustrations in this book and how they make you feel the autumn and fall weather. They are very detailed and follow a theme

This book was published in 2016 and the illustrator used an array of beautiful watercolors and pencils to beautifully recreate the changing of the seasons and how the leaves not only change colors but everything around her.

This book is about the changing of the seasons and how summer transitions into fall. The illustrations embody many fall elements like the colors and leaves falling. It explains the feelings and the weather and clothing that you wear

“Some of us turn red or brown, while others turn gold or yellow. The dogwood leaves turn purple!”

The book has so many colors and can teach children about what to look for during summer and what to start looking for when it‘s becoming fall as well

This is a great book to teach children about the changing seasons of different colors that come along with each season.

“Hello, chill in the air. Hello! It's time to bring out your thick sweaters and scarves.“

This book would be a prefect picture book to read to usher in Autumn and the changing seasons. You can use it to start a discussion about all the things that happen as the seasons change.

Picturebook. Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn is beautiful picture book about the changing of the seasons from summer to fall. The use of color, line and shape really bring the pictures to life. The overall composition of the illustrations bring movement and life to the book and it makes you feel like you are actually in the story and experiencing the seasons changing.

One of the best things about my bookstore job, well, back when I physically worked the store, is that we're encouraged to read board books. The artwork is often stunning, and it's a treat to flip through the pages. I read this book on a rainy afternoon in August, wishing it were Autumn already. Granted, I spend most of summer wishing it were Fall already, lol.
