Everyone has little secrets. Rose wants to be a journalist and when little dolls start appearing at houses of little girls looking just like the girls, she gets an idea. Rose decides this I her big break. How far will she go to reach this dream? What secrets the people in town have kept hidden? Can you trust the police? Will Rose end up losing everything she holds dear, trying to reach her dream.

I didn't think I'd be a fan of this one, but it took me by surprise! Little Secrets really hooked me in. I loved the characters, the setting and the story line - though the ending could have been better!

This book centres around the town of colmstock and in particular through the eyes of rose. I felt it was a little slow but it did keep me reading. I found it a little unbelievable the scenes really jumped out at you especially the police brutality the author really had you there in the moment.

Anna Snoekstra's psychological thriller is a neatly constructed look at paranoia, secrets and lies in a small Australian town in economic decline that focuses on the ambitions and hopes of its cast of characters and the secrets they each keep, and although I felt that Rose's storyline with Will (a rare visitor to Colmstock with secrets of his own) lacked a decent resolution, the novel kept me gripped from beginning to end.

I also have my #LMPBC read, and an ARC, a library book, and I want to read Vengeance Road before my preorder of the 2nd book comes in. We‘ll see how it goes!! #noteworthynovember
