Soft pick from an author I generally enjoy. While I really did like the characters, some of the “bad guy/thriller“ aspects didn't really work for me. Enjoyable for a one-off, but I'm glad I only paid a dollar for it 😂

Mehso-so

I love a good romance story sprinkled with danger. This one had large sections of yawn. The ending was a bit obvious. Nora Roberts is a fantastic author but this one seemed like one of her earlier books. I did like the storyline and the characters were likable and SOMEwhat relatable.

I would recommend this book to a slower reader. Someone who really takes their time reading.

📖📚Happy Reading!📚📖

Nora cannot be contained! Her prolificness knows no bounds! 18 shelves are not enough!

She will spontaneously leap from your cart and attack unsuspecting book stockers when least expected! Beware the Nora.

This goes out to the elderly (easily late 60's) woman who wasn't bothered when I asked her what she was reading when I walked by her on the casino floor tonight. She told me it was a romance.... cause she likes happy endings. I told her about my Joe Hill induced depression then getting sucker punched by Jane Green. She put her hand on mine and said, "Honey. Nora Roberts. Read her. She always has a bad guy, an antagonist always trying to be??

Reggie bad, do bad stuff, but they never win. Always a happy ending. And you know what? The sex scenes are pretty good too!!!!!" Lolololol She made my night. (edited) 7y

LauraBrook Very cool! She should or have minded a quick pic too much, especially since you didn't interrupt her. Big fan of her work! How does she produce so much content?! 8y
CharissaWeaksAuthor @LauraBrook I have no idea! I'm a slow writer. I cannot imagine churning out that many words. I would need elves. Or clones. ;) 8y
