pickFor being written in the 1930s, Mignon was well ahead of her time when it came to her writing style and detective thriller. Especially being a woman in 1930! Can you imagine?! And shes from my home state of Nebraska! It kind of gave me a Scooby-Doo feeling. Ghostly happens and twists, just to reveal the true killer at the end. Im now a fan and cant wait to read her other detective thriller novel. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This book surprises me more and more with its twist and turns. Highly impressed so far. Written in 1930.

I was hesitant to read this book for a few reasons.. now that I'm about 1/3 of the way the way through it, I'm glad I gave it a chance. Even though it was written in 1930, it has exceeded my expectations and I cant wait to finish it!

He was dark and swarthy, with thin iron-gray hair, small eyes of which you only caught the glitter under overhanging eyebrows, and heavy features that were not improved by a wide purple scar that ran slantwise across his face and made of his mouth a cruel and twisted line.
I'm not sure how I feel about this book, but it's written by an author from my home state, plus I picked it up from my local library so I'm gonna give it a try! The cover looks pretty wild tho. 😬
