When in Disneyland, you must buy a Disney book!

To be completely honest I wasn‘t that impressed with this one. I was really looking forward to going back to the world of the keepers, but now that we‘re back I‘m kind of underwhelmed. The book completely ignores things from the other books and had a hard time getting connected with the new kids while splitting the book with the original keepers.

Who hasn‘t wondered what it might be like to wander around Disney after hours? For Disney fans & young readers alike this is a fun MG story, an adventure where magic comes to life & the battle between good & evil rages across the park when the tourists are gone. One thing is for sure, you‘ll never view the It‘s a Small World ride the same way again after reading it. A quick, fun read filled with friendship, adventure & no small amount of magic.

Being a huge Disney fan, I would definitely recommend this book and the series. Also when you finish this series, there‘s a whole follow up series too. It‘s about 5 teens that become 3D holographic tour guides for the Disney theme park, but at the same time are selected for saving Disney as we know it. Don‘t wanna give too much away, just read it.

A fun and light fantasy romp through the Disney World Parks. Great for anyone familiar with the Florida parks. Some of the material definitely feels 15 years old. Some needlessly problematic sections as well. But overall, a fun read after recently visiting the parks.

This book has been on my TBR list for a long time. I am so glad that I finally did, it is so good. In fact it is so good, I am going to start rereading it tomorrow with one of my students. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a Disney fan or just anyone who loves a good spooky mystery.

Kingdom Keepers by Ridley Pearson would be a great choice for and independent read or literature circle book. This science fiction digs into the depth of Walt Disney World where five find themselves against Disney Villains and witches. Especially with living in Central Florida, I especially would use this book as many kids could be able to relate to the attraction they‘ve been to.

The Kingdom Keepers: Disney After Dark is a SF novel written by Ridley Pearson. I would use this novel for a LC in a fifth grade classroom because there is so much in the book students can talk about and learn off of each other. This book is about five children who go to sleep and become holograms in the Disney parks and have to defend them from the Disney villains trying to take over.

I‘ve always had an affinity for Disney. This will be an excellent reread to prepare for vacation.

I read and loved this book by the black cover alone. I never bothered reading the dust jacket, and it did NOT have the subtitle Disney after dark in the second printing of book 1 in hardcover the subtitle was added in black under the original title. No idea why the changed the cover. It was a successful book. And I personally hated the covers of book 2 and three. The covers got changed again at book 4. Originally this was 👇🏻

I‘m a Disney freak. So I knew I was gonna be reading these series. It took me a while to get into and get through this one! It started out SLOW. I put the book down a few times, and don‘t come back to it for months. But finally one day I decided I was gonna stick to it a finally finish it. And I did. About 3/4 way through it snagged me, and I ended up liking it! But not love! I will however continue the series, bc like I said I‘m a Disney freak!

This SF novel by Ridley Pearson is a great book for LC or IR for upper elementary or middle school students. The story is about five kids who are turned into Disney host holograms and are the key to saving Disney World. I read this book awhile ago and never finished it. It‘s fascinating how many sequels it has so I want to give it a try again.

Disney fans will really enjoy this & only need an idea how Disney World is set up (I‘ve only been to Disneyland and could keep track). There were times I was annoyed by the adults but that seems normal in YA/Middle Grade books. The narrator, Gary Littman, did a decent job though there were a couple of female voices that bugged me pretty good. Probably would recommend physically reading this one instead of audio. I will be continuing this series

What better than Disney to talk about friendships?!? I love these books and the characters in the novel always stick together to defeat the villains 👹

These are another set of series I #DNF, and I can not decide if I want to. Kingdom keepers was only supposed to have three books but the big baddie in the last book was so lame for a series that I love and hand to kids all the time. I think the beautiful creatures movie ruined the book for me. Never read the rest of the series. #readjAnuary

Read this one with my ten year old because it was on her Battle of the Books list. Eh... it's fun if you've been to the parks and can picture the places they mention. Overly descriptive parts bog down the flow of the story. Some characters are not well developed (like, they don't even seem necessary to the story).

I love Disney World.
I love YA.
I love original stories.
But this book was just not good. The plot was asinine and the characters were stereotypes taken straight from the TV show Recess. The only reason this doesn't get rated worse is because of the Disney trivia inside. The writing is just awful.

I read the Kingdom Keepers before it had the Disney After Dark subtitle. I picked it up because of the author and the cover. (Original cover pictures). Malificient isn't the "big villain" but then again the big villain (revealed in #3 was a let down). #septohotochallenge #favoritevillan

🌟🌟🌟🌟4/5. I loved it. I was captivated by the plot. When this first came out I wished I could run around Disney all night. This book brought the villains to life, it developed my imagination. Would read again if given the chance.😊
