Silly language mix-ups and outrageous giant behavior had my daughter and I laughing throughout this book. Kids will appreciate the theme of smaller/weaker characters finding creative ways to foil the plans of the stronger evil characters.
Read this one with my ten year old because it was on her Battle of the Books list. Eh... it's fun if you've been to the parks and can picture the places they mention. Overly descriptive parts bog down the flow of the story. Some characters are not well developed (like, they don't even seem necessary to the story).
