Darn It!
Darn It!: Traditional Female Skills That Every Man Should Know | Sarah Williams
3 posts
Have you ever wondered how you'd survive without your wife or girlfriend (or mum!) attending to those little tasks - such as mending, sewing and cleaning - that you should, rather embarrassingly, be able to do yourself? Have you ever wished you knew these skills so that you can finally sew on a button or remove a stain on your own? Then this is the book for you! From baking bread and making jam to ironing a shirt and treating a sting, Darn It! features all the essential skills that a man should learn to make his life that little bit easier. Divided into sections on housekeeping, craft and make do, the kitchen and first aid, each task is succinctly explained and accompanied by beautifully illustrated instructions. The modern man need never again sheepishly ask for help!

I really, really tried to read all these books before buying or checking out more books. But, I failed. I went to the library looking for a specific book. They didn't have it and I walked out with four other books. One of which is limited to a 7 day loan.

I do have just the two unchecked books left from my original goal.

Ericalambbrown The great thing about the Jon Meacham book is that you could read a section at a time amongst other books. The sections stand alone if you‘d like them to. 6y
Beckys_Books @Ericalambbrown thanks for the tip! I haven't started it yet so that's good to know. 6y
melbeautyandbooks Loved the Witch Elm. I was shocked at the size of Lethal White when I picked it up at the library. I thought it was the large print version at first. Looking forward to reading it. 6y

teebe 🤦🏻‍♀️their sales always pop up AFTER I order from them (edited) 7y
TheLibrarian @teebe That used to happen to me too. So I stoped ordering until there is a sale, which sometimes takes forever. 7y

While drinking my tea, I noticed that my litfluence was nearing a cool number and figured I'd capture it... So, I sat here and waited to catch it. It jumped from 2,344 to 2,347 and my brain exploded because I'm weird (read: slightly obsessive) that way 😌 As told myself to get it together, I realized that I could still have my hallmark shot. Here it is, Littens: 2,345 😂😂😂

EchoLogical @Tiffy_Reads Thank you for not judging my crazy. Lol 8y
