Tempe has what she thinks is a crazy lady come into her office certain she knows who one of Tempe‘s unknown bones are. She gives enough of a convincing argument that Tempe investigates. Whoa do we go on a roller coaster ride and there‘s quite a twist at the end.

This one just didn't do it for me. The medical argument wasn't as sound as I'd like it to be. Definitely going back to reading these ones in the physical form though. I remember Hong's better that way.
Good book once it picks up but I found it very slow to start!
Alllllll finished this series wow just loved it
I like that the tv show bares no resemblance to the books, other than the name of the lead character. Tempe in the books is more reckless than in the show, which is why I probably prefer Bones.
That being said, this was a fine entry in the series and, weirdly, after never having heard of her before, contained the 2nd reference to Elizabeth Báthory I've seen today! ??
#seasonsreadings2016 #bookishgifts. Today is my birthday so in the photo is the book my mom gave me for Christmas and the colouring book and markers my sister gave me for my birthday . I also bought Dark Matter as an ebook as a present for myself. #blameitonlitsy
Getting caught up on one of my favorite series. I've been a Tempe fan since the first book. I saw Kathy Reichs at Bouchercon in Raleigh last year. It was fun to hear about the differences between the tv series and the books. I do enjoy both!
so, this is like, right down the road from where I work. that's weird.
referencing the TV show based on your books IN your books is pretty lame, in my opinion, Ms. Reichs.
I would have liked this more without all the chapter endings that try too hard to make you turn the page. Like "It was the start of a cascade that would end with horrific results". Or "Unaware of the deadly spiral I'd kicked into motion". Only there really wasn't a cascade. Or a spiral. Just the plot moving along, as all plots do. And Brennan is supposed to be smart, so why does she always rush blindly into danger without backup?
Not up to the usual standard but decent.
