I let my emotions get the best of me in my book review. Ugh lost all respect for him.

A very fun audiobook! I enjoy Billy Crystal's humor.

Dollar Tree knew I could use a laugh this week... I honestly didn't know he wrote an autobiography! Billy Crystal is also a Long Island native and I always root for the hometown guy! He played such a big part in growing up and then in my kids' lives in Monsters, Inc!
I LOVED this book. I laughed, I cried, I related. Billy Crystal at his best. Oh yeah....the ending was perfect.
This was fun to listen to. It was read by Billy and he did voices and was very animated with certain sections. Some of the chapters were also read in front of an audience which added to the overall story.

I just started the audiobook version of this. I‘m 6 minutes in. Can I make it 8 hours? I don‘t know. I guess my idea of Billy Crystal is based on things like Soap and The Princess Bride but I wasn‘t familiar with his stand up comedy. I don‘t think this is funny. At all. I might need to get my money back but I‘ll hang on a little bit longer.
ETA: Decided to bail. Earliest DNF ever for me. I know my experience won‘t improve, though.
1. Some 😂moments
2. When I noticed Smirk (kitty) leaves her toy mice on rugs it gave me the giggles. I don‘t know why she does this🤷🏼♀️
3. Indian!
4. +30 - large Catholic families- and that‘s with several families that had 1 or 0 children!
5. 👍. #Friyayintro @howjessreads
Have you read either of these? Are they as funny as I‘m hoping they will be? I definitely could use some funny reads in my life!
Sometimes you have to lighten the mood. Laugh out loud funny, just as one would expect from BC and sooo much better than my first attempt at chicken tikka masala.
#WinterWonderland The only Crystal I could think of....and it was a fun read. Billy Crystal seems like a genuine good guy #CrystalDays
Can‘t say that I‘ve been a huge Billy Crystal fan all my life but this autobiographical musing on his life has made me a fan! Apparently, we have a shared ethnic heritage which made the book all that more appealing. His stories on the Yankees, Jack Palance and growing up were charming with lots of laughs! 😂
Well this was an unexpected and delightful treat. Crystal probably isn‘t relevant to a younger audience who may not be that familiar with him, but if you are of a certain age, this is a great reflection of his life. He narrates the audiobook, which is a bonus and his storytelling shines here. In a time when it doesn‘t seem like integrity and character counts for anything anymore - it‘s reassuring to realize there are Billy Crystals in the world.
Billy Crystal has me in stitches while these two fell asleep...
Did you know that Crystal fell in love with the horse (Beechnut) that he rode in City Slickers, so his agent gifted the horse to him after filming? Billy kept him and rode him until the horse died (which was 2009 when Beechnut was 28 years old).
New audiobook for the puzzle - I ❤️ Billy Crystal
This was a great choice for #audiodriving with my husband. It felt a bit long but that's probably because we listened to snippets over the course of a month of weekend driving (plus we fit in S-Town in between). I didn't realize what a genuinely good guy he is, at least that's how he comes across.
I loved listening to this audio. Billy takes the listener from his childhood through his 60's, all the laughs and the heartache. What a genuinely nice human being, with a love of laughter and creating memories for his family.
I'm 80% through this audiobook, and I'm having that withdrawal feeling, where I don't want it to end. Anyone else have that? I've been sticking with audio biographies for listening at work, and I've learned so much about the people I've listened to.
Two new audiobooks to listen to on work breaks and commute.......decided I needed to balance the heaviness of Missoula.
super sentimental, funny guy! Billy Crystal loves sports and was BFF with Mickey Mantle and Muhammad Ali. Total gangster. And he loves his family. I listened to this on audiobook and it was a perfect listen 🎧
When Billy Crystal is cranky, he's like "Jeffrey Dahmer when there's nothing in the fridge."
Laughing so hard at his audiobook and I'm not even in my 60s. ? baby boomers, amirite
Another great audiobook.
Another road trip tomorrow. Will be listening to this on the way to Edinburgh. Hope everyone is having good times. And if not good times, I hope you have good books.
For #recommendsday I'm going old school with the ever good guy,Billy Crystal. His memoir is honest, funny and not to "schmaltzy" as he reminisces and reflects about the industry and growing old. If you are a fan, you will really enjoy ?
