The latest audiobook accompanying me on my short commute to work. This was a wonderful story weaving back and forth from the United States to France, from the present to the Past. This book combines historical fiction, mystery, and romance for a well-balanced story that kept me wanting to get back into my car to hear more. 😊📚🎧
Finished book 6 in the #24in48 readathon & it was a good one. A story of a Mom afraid of life after a tragic accident killed her husband, a teenage girl yearning to escape a high school which is far from the safe haven her Mom thinks it is & a mystery from the past. A story of family, and love, and life, and living when nothing is certain. 4 ⭐️ read & a great way to start day 2.
Good morning!!! Ready to start day 2 of the #24in48 readathon!! Map of the Heart starts in Delaware & I spent every summer growing up there & my parents retired there so it‘s making me smile on this early morning.
Doing a little reading before we leave the hotel and head to breakfast with family before heading home.
Hope everyone had a safe and fun thanksgiving with little family drama. Mine had some but only because I have “that” uncle who is a drunk and annoying lol
Little fire everywhere just isn‘t doing it for me so I‘m setting aside and starting this instead. I may go back to LFE but it‘s doubtful.
Went to pick up MOTH and scored the other off the Lucky Day shelf. Does your library do this as well? It‘s pretty cool. I think it makes holds take longer tho since they put fewer in the hold queue to keep some out for Lucky day grabs.
One of my favorite books from the summer!
Sometimes, I'm not the most timely reviewer... this one's been on the list for a bit but thrilled to report it was charming and worth the wait. #france #history #WWII #timejumps
I won this ARC on the William Morrow Litsy page. I'm about to start it. I LOVE Susan Wiggs and was so excited to win this one!
This is the second novel by @SusanWiggs I've read and it's so good. Wiggs is so talented - he stories are deceptively sophisticated and profound. I loved the switching between the historic and contemporary in this book, as well as the dual setting of Delaware and Coastal Provence, France. A must- read!
My summer reading pile. All are to-be-published here in the US, in pile, in order of publication. So excited to be reading them early!
I received the best kind of mail today! It made me do the happy dance :) Thank you again @WilliamMorrow !!
