Another busy week at the orchard, plus my brother is visiting from out of state, so not a lot of spare reading time! However, I did read this romantic suspense. The main characters are smoke jumpers, helping put out wildfires in Montana and around the western US. I'm always impressed by the amount of research Roberts puts in to writing about extremely random professions 😂 I really liked the main pair in this story, but the thriller aspect ⬇

I‘ve had this one in my bathroom and I will read a little bit each morning as I‘m doing my hair for the day. This weekend I finished another book and I knew I was getting close to finishing this one so I had to bring it downstairs and finish it. The start was a little slow but it turned out to be a good read.

Lengthy and boring during the first half. Rowan is a smoke fighter and has been doing for years. Gull is the rookie who join them and is interested in Ro. Then someone start shooting at Ro and sabotage their equipments. #noraroberts #romanticsuspense

An entertaining read, despite a slow beginning. I have to say, the research on this one must have been interesting! The hero and heroine remind me a bit of Eve and Roarke (though not so scarred by the past), as she's working a job with a lot of physical danger and he wants to take care of her, but as a partner respecting she is good at what she does. Not as funny though.

Don't let this face fool you. She managed to chew apart my book in under five minutes 😭 Luckily I had an e-copy to finish it! I loved this book (I'm a sucker for firefighter romances). There was action, heat, and intrigue that kept the book moving at a fast pace. I was never bored during the story, and at times it moved a little TOO fast. 5 🔥
