Ten thousand years ago, humans and fairies fought a great battle for the magical island of Ireland. When it became clear to the fairy families that they could never win, they decided to move their civilization underground and keep themselves hidden from the humans. All the fairy families agreed on this, except the 8th family, the demons. The demons planned to lift their small island out of time until they had regrouped and were ready to wage war on the humans once more. However the time spell went wrong, and the island of Hybras was catapulted into Limbo, where it has remained for ten thousand years. eBook also includes author video.

Minerva-the-genius-girl is exquisitely annoying, the demons are hilarious, Artemis has grown a spine (poor, poor Butler), and Holly—as per usual—is the only one sane.

The action during the finale was a tad confusing (too visual for me), but the ending made up for it. I can‘t wait to read the next volume.

LibrarianRyan @BookBee89 I know. It will be interesting who they cast. Years ago when it was first optioned they were talking Cameron Diaz for Holly and Danny Devito for Mulch. But it's 13-15 years later. I'd really like to someone like Joe Manteligo or aquaman (blanking on real name) play Downey. You know, a big beady guy. 7y

JazzFeathers I really need to tead this serier. I've only read the first book in ltalian traslation (not a good idead reading a trunslation for this kind of books, but it was a birthday gift) and after a hard beginning, l truly loved it. Really need to read the rest 😊 8y
