Light Yagami is an ace student with great prospects-and he's bored out of his mind. But all that changes when he finds the Death Note, a notebook dropped by a rogue Shinigami death god. Any human whose name is written in the notebook dies, and now Light has vowed to use the power of the Death Note to rid the world of evil. But when criminals begin dropping dead, the authorities send the legendary detective L to track down the killer. With L hot on his heels, will Light lose sight of his noble goal...or his life?

The investigation into the Yotsuba group members heats up, and the task force discover which of the businessmen has Kira's powers. This volume builds up to an extremely tense, edge-of-your-seat car chase and sort of unmasking, and I Ioved it.

JoScho I haven‘t read It yet-saving it for the summer since I will need to devote so much time to it-but I did think the movie was very good. 7y
Zelma I love both Jump Street movies. They are better than they had any right to be. 7y

Since people seemed to enjoy the Murchie photos yesterday, I'll keep on sharing them from time to time. Here's an older one of Murchie creeping out of his traditional morning blanket cave. He loved to wedge himself under the overlap in my comforter, so before I made my bed I always had to check he wasn't tucked up in there. #murchieplusbooks

jpmcwisemorgan I lived with a classmate and her boyfriend in grad school and they had a cat who would burrow under the blankets. One day, we thought he‘d slipped outside which is bad news for a cat where we lived because of coyotes. I finally found him in under my down comforter. I have no idea how he wasn‘t incredibly hot but he wasn‘t and he was annoyed that I woke him up. Animals can be so weird. 7y
TricksyTails Sweet Murchie! 🐶♥️ 7y
xicanti @jpmcwisemorgan they're SUCH weirdos. Murchie got grumpy if I tried to make him leave his blanket cave before he was good and ready, too. Near as I could tell, this usually happened around 11:00, meaning I didn't always get to make my bed. 7y

AMAZING!! This volume was just the perfect amount of tension and action to keep readers biting their nails. It dipped a little in the last volume, but we're back to the calibre that is this manga series! And the ending!! 😱What an ending!

I'm back from my Japanese crash course. But for the moment being, I still prefer my German Edition of Death Note.

Auch wenn ich die Woche damit verbracht habe, ein paar japanische Grundlagen zu erlernen, lese ich meine Mangas vorerst wohl doch lieber noch auf Deutsch. 😉
