This is one of my favorite series but a lot of people stop after the first book because of the sexism. Japan is a very sexist country. The female characters change their behavior to maximize their chances in a society that is against them. The authors are not sexist themselves, I think. I've read a lot of their work. They are pointing out a negative of Japanese society and show how women in Japan must play the system.

A display for my first program as a librarian~ it was this past weekend and was a success! Anime/manga drawing for teens, a hobby of mine that I am particularly passionate about.
