A fascinating analysis of the psychology behind Wonder Woman For 75 years, Wonder Woman has served as an inspiration to people everywhere. Wonder Woman Psychology examines this powerful superhero--who was created by famous psychologist William Moulton Marston--through 20 essays. This collection will analyze: Marston's important role in the history of forensic psychology How Diana's relationship with her mother and Amazonian sisters shapes her to become a leader and the heroine called Wonder Woman The ways differences in culture and gender can contribute to alienation but also to personal empowerment What roles emotion, strengths, virtues, and culture shock play in heroic behavior

Do you know what is NOT a good idea? Going on to book outlet to look for a book for a Litsy swap. These just kind fell into my cart🤷🏻‍♀️ this picture doesn‘t include the 2 swap books and the 4 I bought for my kid! 😂. I might have a problem! Book outlet clearance… I can‘t resist!!!!!

merelybookish Book Outlet is sooo dangerous! 😬 2y

These are all so fun showing the back story to the characters, showing what their actions mean in real life incidents. The creator of Wonder Woman was deeply feminist and supported women and wanted us in charge and equal. He wasn't always right but Wonder Woman is a legend that will always live on. It discusses her compassion, quest for truth always, and how she survives as WW and Diana. I loved it!

The creator of Wonder Woman believed women would be the dominant gender, believed patriarchy is dangerous and within a hundred years a matriarchy would take over and wars would stop because we have brains and can work out problems...... I'm so sad he was wrong...

AshleyKorinE This book is really interesting, he helped create the lie detector test, had strong feminist beliefs, and I wish it had actually helped in the long run show women are stronger but he'd died after only so many issues. People who took over after he died didn't have those beliefs and twisted it, especially in the second wave feminist movement. @BookishFeminist 8y
