⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Finished this tonight and highly recommend! Great writing: each character has several rooting interests, so the reader feels for their plight; very vivid scenes, so they can be recalled after the book is closed; and easy reading, so it can be plowed through!s

Poll time:

How do you feel about chapter titles, as seen in the picture: do they distract, give the punchline of each chapter away, or are they helpful?

DGRachel It depends on the book. Sometimes they're clever or fun, sometimes helpful, and sometimes annoying. 7y
AmandaL I agree with @DGRachel . 7y

Mommamanzi I like having them 😊 7y
rubyslippersreads Old books often have them; then it seemed as though they went out of fashion. I like them if, as @DGRachel said, they're clever or helpful. 7y
merelybookish I loved them when I was a kid. (I don't mind a spoiler.) But I feel I rarely read books with chapter titles anymore. 7y
mcipher I'm with @DGRachel @AmandaL @Librarybelle and @rubyslippersreads - clever or helpful are good. Otherwise I tend to ignore them. Funny ones are my favorite! 7y
CrowCAH @DGRachel @AmandaL @Librarybelle @Mommamanzi @rubyslippersreads @merelybookish @mcipher all of you have valuable insights into this topic; thanks for responding. It seems people are in the middle: either like them for their wit or don't care. It's funny, I read them, but when I get done with the chapter I've forgotten what the chapter title was, so I have to go back. 7y
