Tea with Milk and Murder - Oxford Tearoom Mysteries
Tea with Milk and Murder - Oxford Tearoom Mysteries | H. Y. Hanna
5 posts | 8 read | 9 to read
While at an Oxford cocktail party, tearoom owner Gemma Rose overhears a sinister conversation minutes before a University student is fatally poisoned. Could there be a connection? And could her best friend Cassie's new boyfriend have anything to do with the murder? Gemma decides to start her own investigation, helped by the nosy ladies from her Oxfordshire village and her old college flame, CID detective Devlin O'Connor. But her mother is causing havoc at Gemma's quaint English tearoom and her best friend is furious at her snooping... and this mystery is turning out to have more twists than a chocolate pretzel! Too late, Gemma realises that she's could be the next item on the killer's menu. Or will her little tabby cat, Muesli, save the day? (** Velvet Cheesecake recipe included!)

Just what I needed, a light weight mystery with just a bit of tension and occasional humor….oh, and also characters you‘ll love. While the book totally stands alone, I may just have to hunt up its predecessor.

This is a fun series. I love the setting and the mysteries in both the ones I‘ve read so far have been good. I like the way the village of characters are starting to play continuing roles in the stories, especially the cat! My fifth book finished for #CozyintheSun

Librarybelle Cats + cozies = ❤️ In my opinion, at least! 4y
MallenNC @Librarybelle I agree! This cat is fun too. 4y
ferskner I think I have this one too! 4y

Another great mystery set between a tea shop in a quaint village and Oxford, it‘s the best setting. Muesli played more of a roll in this one! She sounds so cute. A little more chemistry between Gemma and Devlin - and maybe Lincoln but probably not. Gemma is more interesting in this murder since her BFF may be dating the murderer!! Lots of clues but kept me guessing. #readwomen #cozymystery

1. All 3 have their uses but I save my favorite books for print.
2. I have a little library now with an over stuffed chaise lounge.
3. Tea with milk and a vape. (I quit cigarettes but I still love nicotine. I mistake it for food.)
4. Multiple books
5. Night!

SilversReviews I LOVE seeing the books on my shelf, but do enjoy e-books too. Print is preferable. 7y

Clearly I'm on a roll with this series. I seriously love how the mystery keeps you guessing! It has the perfect amount of quirky, funny, and sensual wrapped in murder mayhem. This book was even better than the last one, and ALSO A BIG PLUS!! HARRY POTTER REFERENCES FTW!!! 5/5 stars!
