This was really between a pick and a so-so for me. I'm honestly not sure why I decided to pick this book up. I'd never heard of the woman and I'm not a fashion person but there I was, reading it. She kind skimmed through the bullet points of her life leading up to her job as a personal shopper at Bergdorf Goodman and then wrote a bit about her job there. Nothing too deep but still interesting. Quick, easy read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

Eighty-six year old Betty Halbreich definitely has a life in style with a #twist. I loved this memoir about a strong woman, a legend, and just an all around classy lady.

I'll Drink To That was interesting, but I found a lot of repetition and honestly, the world of upper-class shopping is foreign to me. This was a book club read, and I'm not saying I'm sorry I read it or that it's bad. It's just not a book I'd wave muppet arms over. So on to other reading...

Feisty, opinionated Betty Halbreich is, in her 80s, still a personal shopper at Bergdorf Goodman. Part memoir of her complicated life, part dish about fashion and designers, it reads like a conversation with a blunt, seasoned and favorite great aunt who can share wisdom and great vintage jewelry.
