pickI love magical regency stories, and this one was delightful. I especially love that the story centered on a mystery and strong female friendship, rather than romance. Hoping for a sequel!
pickIt‘s not perfect, and I have some quibbles, but it is so delightful the sheer joy of reading it overcame them. Regency. Magic. Spies. And Fashion. It has two wonderful heroines and celebrates female friendships. Also there is a beautiful scene where a group of angry women band together to give a pervert predator what he has coming to him.
And this dedication kept its book on my shelf: “For anyone who has escaped into a book.” 😍
But I took the picture this morning and now I‘m unsure as to exactly which book it belonged. I believe it‘s the tagged book. That I don‘t remember doesn‘t bode well...
so-soFinished this last night. Guessed the bad guy from a single comment 2/3 of the way through. Don‘t know if it‘s all the Agatha Christie I‘ve been reading, but the clue seemed straightforward. It was fine, but not awesome. Melvin agrees. #catsoflitsy

pickJane Austen meets Harriet the Spy is the vibe I got from this fun YA book. Loved that the 19th Century heroine is not shy about stuffing her face with food and has aspirations that don't involve marrying rich.
Finally got a peeramid book rest (and this awesome arc) because we sell them at @FountainBookstore now! I cannot wait to bring it home. 😍😍😍📚📚😍😍😍
