- Tons of rereading! Read somewhere that rereading familiar material is an anxiety impulse, so that makes sense.
- Just started the Lady Sherlock series on a friend's recommendation.
- Several for my dissertation! (It's DONE! 🎉)
- Read The Cat of Bubastes (1889) and several other classics for curriculum review project.
- The House by the Cerulean Sea made me cry over its sweetness and hopefulness!

I recently got my first bujo, and loving it so far. I got the design for this book tracker from Pinterest, I just added a few of my own details and an extra shelf.

I know I should have posted these during the readathon, but I spent a lot of that Sunday fighting off an anxiety migraine after a flare-up late Saturday. I finally am getting around to posting the list of books that I read. I will tag the books in comments and get around to writing reviews when able. Some were blog tour books so reviews will come later.

+51 point to #TeamStoker (5 books at 10 each and participation)
@TheReadingMermaid

jessinikkip I did read this before watching the movie, it has always been one of my favorite stories by Poe. It was also my first one I read by him, and what really hooked me on his works. (10 points here) 5y
jessinikkip This was another one I read before watching the movie. Well, re-watching. I had already seen the movie but it was my wife's first time. (10 points) 5y
jessinikkip Of course, I had to go ahead and read the next in the Land of Stories series. I was a bit disappointed that the witch that cursed Sleeping Beauty was named Ezmia instead of Maleficent here. (10 points) 5y

jessinikkip I have a blog tour for a gender-bent version of this story called Picture of Doriana and I read that book, but it isn't the database yet. It is essentially the same story only modernized and with a female lead. Pretty interesting (10 points) 5y
jessinikkip And, of course, I took the time to read through Dracula during the readathon so I can participate in the buddy read! (10 points) 5y

I bought the Read Books ring from an author I follow on Litsy - she makes and sells jewelry on Etsy. She started stamping metal and posted earrings or a necklace that said this and I asked if she‘d ever make a ring. A week or so later, she made a ring and I snatched it up!!! 😀

rather_be_reading love it! whats the shop? 6y
jpmcwisemorgan @rather_be_reading The shop is https://www.etsy.com/shop/HillsPeculiarities and it looks like she might have another one. It‘s aluminum so it can be sized a bit. She usually has something bookish so I keep an eye on her shop. I have several pairs of earrings and some necklaces and they‘re all well-made and packaged cute (she puts them in tiny envelopes with cute stickers!). 6y
Ddzmini Love the 🐢 ring 6y
rather_be_reading @jpmcwisemorgan ty! i will check it out 6y

I finally patched my little books read record with some book tape. The fake leather on the binding has been chipping for a while. So, now I'm going through it and remembering old loves. I'm also trying to add them to my Litsy ratings, but I'm still in 2001 right now. 😅 It's slow-going!

Reviewsbylola That‘s an ambitious endeavor! 6y
Velvetfur That sounds great! A lovely trip down memory lane for you 😊 6y
readinginthedark @Reviewsbylola It will probably take me several days. Not difficult, at least, just slow. 6y

readinginthedark @Velvetfur It's been really fun so far! 6y
Graywacke Love that you have that. But, wow, dedication to enter it here, now. Impressed. 6y
readinginthedark @Graywacke As s of right now, I'm only in 2002, so I figure I'll either give up at some point or it will just take me a while. 😆 But I'm not too stressed about whether or not I actually get it done. 6y
Graywacke @readinginthedark if nothing else, you at least get some book nostalgia. 😌 6y

This has been a super slow reading year for me. I'll finish out 2018 with only 38 books to my name 😢 Usually my goal is 75 to 100 (depending on the length of books chosen). Alas, maybe 2019 will be better! Two of my favorites this year were Bird Box and Head Full of Ghosts!

Lizpixie Two of my favourites of 2017!👍 6y
Suzze I usually read about 100. I read 24. 24! Hope we both read more in 2019. 6y

Quite proud of this. I work 2 jobs and work 7 days a week between the 2 if them. 🤓

Karkar That is awesome! Working two jobs stinks - so glad you have some time to do things like reading! 🤓 6y

These are the majority of books I read in 2017, the rest are part of my book tree☺️61 in total which is amazing for me specially after Irma & María!Of course that includes graphic novels. My goal in 2018 is read 40 to 50 ?I'm a slow reader plus this is therapy, it should be slow?I just want to read more from my tbr and those wonderful books I received in different Litsy swaps. I really like those books! ?

ElishaLovesBooks Wow! 🎉🎉👏👏 7y

I read five books and one play in January. My favorite was, "The Book of Harlan" followed by "The Red Notebook." I'll note my backlogged reading as I get to it. But, of course, I've started on another. #Donna_sBookYear2017

mickeysirena Such great reads January. I'm so happy more and more people are reading August Wilson. I read the entire Century Cycle except for Radio Golf in 2015 and it was a great experience. Looking forward to see your thoughts on them. 8y
mickeysirena Also The Book of Harlan is on my list of books to read this year... ;) 8y
