After being dumped by his long-term boyfriend for being overweight, Henry Beckett decides to make some drastic changes. In a vain attempt at getting his boyfriend back, Henry does the most absurdly frightening thing he can think of. He joins a gym. Reed Henske is a personal trainer who isn't sure he'll ever be ready to date again. He's sick of guys who are only interested in the perfect body image, never seeing him for who he really is. As Reed tortures Henry with things like diet and exercise, Henry enamours Reed with recipes and laughter. As the friendship lines start to blur, Henry is convinced there's no way Thor-like Reed could ever be interested in a guy like him. Reed just has to convince Henry that life isn't about reaching your ideal bodyweight. It's about finding your perfect counterweight.

#12Booksof2020 - Day 3

@Reggie brought this book to my attention and I loved it. This is a m/m romance set in Australia. I laughed out loud throughout and Henry and Reed‘s romance just made me happy.

This would work for #Booked2021 categories, set in Australia or a lesser known book.

Thank you @Reggie for bringing this book to my attention when you reviewed it. I loved it! Henry is dumped by his longtime boyfriend for being fat and old. Henry joins a gym and meets personal trainer, Reed. This is a happy and sweet story, but issues with weight and body image do come up and I found it very relatable. Henry and Reed are exactly what I needed right now. I laughed quite a bit.

Thanks @Christy2318 for putting this out there because this is the m/m happily ever after I‘ve been looking for. Henry gets broken up with by his boyfriend Graham after 8 years because of his weight and age, 35. He takes a brave step and signs up for the gym where he meets his new personal trainer, Reed. This read like a hilarious gay chick flick. Henry “I have no filter” was so funny. Pick!!

Hilarious! I LOL‘ed the whole book. Henry‘s bf dumps him for being old & fat. He‘s 35. Henry joins a gym & Reed is his trainer. Henry is snarky & sarcastic & possibly my spirit animal. 🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♀️ #romansty #kindleunlimited

This book was such a pleasant surprise. M/M romance set in Australia. First, it's hilarious. Second, it's empowering, about body image and the struggles many feel with how they look. Highly recommend! #romantsy
