“He wrote it only using 5o words“ Talking about Green Eggs and Ham
This is great for teaching children the history of one of their favorites!
Great book for children to learn about one of their most beloved authors!
Our adorable little Dr. Seuss! 📚 That beard! 😂 Today was “wax museum” day for 3rd graders at our school. Each kid chose a biography, read it and took notes, then wrote a short speech to share today when a visitor stopped in front of them (6ft away + mask). Fun time! Of course, this sweet pea chose an author.

“Theodor Suess Geisel“ I think kids will find it crazy that Dr. Suesse's name isn't actually Dr. Suess!
I'd share this book to my kids after sharing a couple of Dr. Suess books with them.
“Who Was Dr. Seuss?“ by Janet Pascal, 2011. Biography chapter book. This book is all about Dr. Suess! Kids would definitely be interested because of their love for Dr. Suess books. I think it would be cool for kids to get to know the author behind some of their favorite books!
“He was a boy who loved zoos and drawing silly animals, a college boy voted “least likely to succeed”, and an author and illustrator who changed children‘s books forever.”
As a kid I think I always just pictured Dr. Suess at the Cat in The Hat, so I think it's really interesting for kids to have a name to put to the face of the author of so many of their favorite books.
“He was a boy who loved zoos and drawing silly animals, a college boy voted “least likely to succeed”, and an author and illustrator who changed children‘s books forever.”
I love learning about the people who created things I love and I‘m sure students will too.
The author behind many children‘s favorite books can be something so fun to learn about. These books are short, engaging, informative, and fun.
"Who Was Dr. Seuss?" written by Janet B. Pascal/illustrated by Nancy Harrison is a cute, easy, readable biography (B) about Dr. Seuss, AKA Theodor Seuss Geisel! Generally, Pascal's books could be used during independent reading (IR). "Who Was Dr. Seuss?" is a chapter book for young students full of illustrations

I read this book with the child that I nanny that was reading this for an Author Study project timed around the birthday of Dr. Seuss!

Who was Dr. Seuss? is a B written by Janet B. Pascal and illustrated by Nancy Harrison. This book is about where Seuss got his inspirations from and how he changed the history of children‘s books. I think this book would be great for an AS for students to do. They could learn so much about him and learn things they probably didn‘t know before, just like I did. #ucflae3414f17
This B chapter book by Janet Pascal is perfect to use in the classroom for AS! This book tells all about Dr. Seuss and his life, and includes illustrations and a timeline in the back of the book. Students could use this book to create presentations for an AS and then present to their classmates. This could meet UDL 7.1- optimize choice and autonomy because they can choose how to present the information. And EL 42- have students use timelines to
Who Was Dr Seuss by Janet B Pascal. This book is a Biography about Theodor Seuss Geisel and the struggles he faced in his early years on becoming a cartoonist. Ted was a determined man who at first didn't know what he wanted, but soon figured out that drawing weird animals and people was his main focus in the future. The Who Was books are great for students who love seeing visuals while reading. Good for 4th-middle school students. #UCFWalterslit
A story about the great Dr. Seuss, with black and white illustrations brings an author to life with a great B. A story about Dr. Seuss in school to when he was older and worked for a book company. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=B32u4qrIVZQ #UCFLAE3414su17
