Wallis and Edward, Letters:1931-37
Wallis and Edward, Letters:1931-37: The Intimate Correspondence of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor | Michael Bloch
2 posts | 2 to read
Michael Bloch's edition of the intimate correspondence of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, from the moment they met in 1931 up to their marriage in 1937, also containing Wallis Simpson's diary of their affair in form of her weekly letters to her aunt in Washington, was a sensational bestseller when it first appeared just after the Duchess's death, shedding as it does a wealth of fascinating new light on 'the greatest love story of the century' and the mysteries of King Edward's abdication.

Wallis Simpson and I were both born in Baltimore. The future King of England gave up the throne to marry her. Can't get any more romantic than that! I have been infatuated with her and her jewels for a long time. Have a nice collection of books about her. #royals

LeahBergen And she had some amazing clothing as well, didn't she? 😍 8y
DivineDiana @LeahBergen Oh yes, she did! Often photographed for Vogue. Best Dressed List. Quite a woman of style! 8y
