Heist Society: Uncommon Criminals
Heist Society: Uncommon Criminals | Ally Carter
Katarina Bishop has worn a lot of labels in her short life: Friend. Niece. Daughter. Thief. But for the last two months she's simply been known as the girl who ran the crew that robbed the greatest museum in the world. That's why Kat isn't surprised when she's asked to steal the infamous Cleopatra Emerald so it can be returned to its rightful owners. There are only three problems. First, the gem hasn't been seen in public in thirty years. Second, since the fall of the Egyptian empire and the suicide of Cleopatra, no one who holds the emerald keeps it for long - and in Kat's world, history almost always repeats itself. But it's the third problem that makes Kat's crew the most nervous, and that is...the emerald is cursed. Kat might be in way over her head, but she's not going down without a fight. After all, she has her best friend -- the gorgeous Hale - and the rest of her crew with her as they chase the Cleopatra around the globe, dodging curses and realizing that the same tricks and cons her family has used for centuries are useless for this heist. This time, Kat's going to have to make up her own rules...

As good as the first one, character development is great in this series, they almost feel like real people and not just characters by the end of the book. I can't wait for the next one.

Can‘t sleep and I have a cold. 🤧 The tea and the book are helping to distract.

800 steps shy of my goal, but too lazy to put shoes and non-pajama pants on and head outside. So, just started my book, and am pacing my bedroom. 😝 #audiowalk

Since I'm doing a Whole 30 to hopefully cure my terrible sugar & soda habits, I'm letting myself splurge on #bookcandy this month instead. Starting another fun & silly #audiobook today! 📚❤

Lmstraubie How's the Whole 30 going? 8y

A lot of twists and turns in this one. Still not sure what was the con and what was real. Fun, short read.

I've had this on my shelf since I picked it up at a library sale 4 years ago. Do you have any books buried in your TBR?

Reviewsbylola More than I can count. I am planning on doing a huge destash in the next week to make room for new books. 8y

It's been difficult reading ebooks since my Kindle died because my phone's screen is minuscule! So Uncommon Criminals is taking me longer to read than usual, which is a pity because Hale, right?

Sigh. Can't wait for new Kindle to arrive in July.
