Mehso-so

The book had a great plot and stuff, but the reason for the so-so is that the whole “talking to my dead boyfriend” thing was a little weird. The parts where Ava was talking to him looked the same as her thoughts so it was hard to tell them apart.

Reason two is that the book ended on a MAJOR cliffhanger and there‘s no sequel ever coming out.

The only reason I picked up Red Vengeance is because I bought it at the same time as book 1. But as much as I disliked book 1, I was that bored with book 2. Predictable, ignored or forgot MCU canon at times, and no interesting action. The writing was mediocre and like the first book, I didn‘t think the story was particularly well developed. Would‘ve been better as a graphic novel.

But at least I‘m getting closer to a #bookspin bingo

1. Tagged, Careful What You Wish For, & Better Than Before
2. Heads You Win at 576
3. Probably Magic Binds, although I rarely stay up late because I risk a migraine. So I normally stick to a pretty routine sleep schedule.

4/5 ⭐️s While I thought this wasn't as good as the first book I still enjoyed the story. I loved seeing connections to the MCU. I'm also wondering if any of this story will connect to the Black Widow movie coming out next year!

Better than the first one.
Tash being sassy and being the "big sister" nagging is awesome.
Loved those cameos.

Didn't get much reading done yesterday. But I did hit up the BN clearance sale. Teen books $2 each, it devours 60% off. I did good.

Avanders They didn't have any of the magical $2 sales in my city. 😒 But I did get a couple books for $1.79 anyway 😁 7y
LibrarianRyan @Avanders yep. Great isn't it. 7y

I love these characters. The book suffers a bit from the rushed ending, similar to actual Marvel movies but the character development is worth it.

Daughter had to save the day because I thought the topic meant something else entirely. She spends a lot of time writing fanfic. So she recommended this book for #fanfic for #feistyfeb #fanfichomage.

I really love these books! The layout with the debriefing conversations really pulls you into Marvel's world. Great sequel!

Book two in series- read book one. Ava and Natasha are learning to live with their entanglement, and without Alex. When they get Intel about how Red Room might be getting funds the Widows are out for vengeance. Will Natasha's past get in the way, though? A face from the past threatens everything.
I loved this book- so much action! seriously- gun fights, energy swords and flaming Harleys. it was nuts! 5🌟

I don't know why I made myself read this. It was awful. It was predictable, boring, and extremely slow moving. The original characters are all annoying and I don't care about them. I am tired of a new superhero basically bring a clone of another one with them throwing in a crazy power to be able to say that they are different. I love Natasha so much, but she doesn't act like any iteration of her I have ever read/seen. A big no from me all around.

But you are. You're like 16. You are a kid. And a stupid, selfish one at that. Stop it. Why am I doing this to myself?

Another tremendous Black Widow novel by Margie Stohl. So much humanity in these stories. Loved having Carol Danvers showing up too, even if it was just in a couple of places.

Be still my heart I'm in love. This book has all my fav characters in it, even pieces of my heart with Tony Stark and Captain Marvel. It is left open ended for more story to come and I'll buy more stories. I love the placement in time of this book. I love how you get even more character traits from both widows. Really it's everything I wanted in this type of book. Comics mean so much to me and having them in this form is amazing!

I'm so in love with this book. I love the chance to get to know Natasha on a more personal level and not just who she's portrayed in the movies.
