Saw this last night - a beautiful film. I‘ve never read Colette (for shame!), but that will soon be remedied! Any suggestions where I should start?

I‘m seeing it even though I have mixed feelings about it. Colette= 🇫🇷 . Anna Karenina= 🇷🇺.
@Bertha_Mason has reminded me about Colette! Claudine is definitely #NoOnesLittleGirl. Not sure how to describe these books... Let's just say they're a charming mix of angst, romance, lust, and existentialism.

I‘m in the mood for France! #bookandtea
It's #Recommendsday! "Finished The Queen of the Night? Want more daring 19th century French women (who doesn't)? Here‘s a 4-books-in-1 #Recommendsday pick for you! I grew up watching Gigi not realizing it‘s based on a book written by Colette. While the Claudine books are less lighthearted than Gigi, they‘re so wonderfully dramatic and scandalous! And Claudine has an irreverent, witty voice I find irresistible in narrators." - @szainabwilliams
