Thanks to a new working schedule I could do a lot of #audioworking and finished this 53 hour audio book earlier than expected.

To me it was a perfect mix of War And Peace and Ulysses. It was a lot of characters, a lot of things going on and a hint of Magical Realism. Fictional characters go along with those who really existed. Tragedies happen, funny dialogues happen and I don't even try to remember all of it 😂

Alas, I give up! There are far too many good books waiting for me to continue slogging through 900+ pages that I just don‘t get. Like Ulysses, this book will have to go back to the shelf. Maybe another day...

There is absolutely no order to my book shelves but here are the first and last book they contain, both still TBR.
My second #readathon morning is going strong. I finished an audiobook and an ebook this morning and am picking next title as I make another cup of tea. Love these weekends.

Not the best choice to start my challenges. I think Pynchon is just not my thing :( I tried to stick with it and gave it more time than I gave, Gravity's Rainbow, but alas I just don't get him, his characters or his stories. I know people that adore him and they have tried to convert me but it's just not happening.

Here is a #doorstopper from my shelves. I was given it when it was first published and have not read a page. It just looks like such a commitment and I confess to never having read Thomas Pynchon before. I'll get to it one of these days. #riotgrams
