I‘ve had this cookbook forever, but rarely make anything out of it besides quiche, so I thought I‘d try something new.
This was. . . an interesting combination of flavors, but despite the name, it‘s not heavily spiced and has zero heat. That‘s America in the ‘80s for you, I guess. The chutney was great. Will definitely make this again, as we‘re trying to eat more vegetarian meals.

TheBookHippie Oh I like a good chutney!! 9mo
Aimeesue @TheBookHippie This one is date and orange with ginger and it‘s really good! 9mo
TheBookHippie @Aimeesue oh yummmm. 9mo

Tamra Funny, at one time I had all of Katzen‘s books but rarely used them, so I donated most. I do so love the format & illustrations though! (edited) 9mo
Aimeesue @Tamra I‘ve had this copy for at least 30years, and the quiche is the only recipe I‘ve made regularly. I definitely keep this one and Moosewood due to the hand-lettering and illustrations though 😁 9mo
Ruthiella Not only do you have the same Fisher Price little people, which are still at my parents‘ house even though the grandkids are teenagers, you have the same Corelle dishes! 9mo
Aimeesue @Ruthiella Ha! This is the only piece of the Spring Blossoms design I have; most of mine are the Old Town Blue design. This was mixed in with some I got at the thrift store, but I really liked it, so it stayed! 9mo
KAO I love this cookbook! I have had mine for decades also. I make the zucchini and bell pepper enchiladas recipe at least three or four times every year. This book also taught me how to make a frittata—yum! Another favorite. 9mo
mabell Chutney with it sounds good! But I would definitely like more spice and/or heat in the lentils 😄 9mo
Aimeesue @KAO I definitely need to read through it again to see what I‘ve been missing! 9mo
Aimeesue @mabell Yeah, most people are gonna want to add some heat in there. My family has super sensitive tongues (my grandfather was unable to eat even mild chili without his tongue being on fire!) so I let everyone add it afterward if they want to be extra daring 😄 9mo

Aimeesue My copy is just as beat up as yours! The sign of a well-loved cookbook- the more splatters they have on them, the better they are. ❤️ 2y

I love Molly Katzen & her charming classic vegetarian cookbooks so this title immediately cam to mind for today‘s #enchanted prompt. The lemon mousse is a favorite go-to & the curried Peanut Soup with Banana Topping sounds a little unusual but is really good. 😋 Linking up the recipe below.

Susanita I‘d like to visit an enchanted broccoli forest! 3y
