“Families may look different, but the love they share is the same everywhere.“
This book supports social studies or character education lessons by encouraging students to appreciate diversity and reflect on their own family structures. It can also spark meaningful discussions about cultural traditions and social-emotional connections within families, fostering empathy and inclusiveness in the classroom.
This is a nonfiction children‘s book that introduces young readers to the concept of diverse family structures. Through an engaging narrative featuring a young girl named Makayla, the book explores how different families live, celebrate, and support one another. It is a perfect resource to teach children the value of diversity in family dynamics and the common threads that unite us all.
Day 12 of the #wintergames photo challenge - Family
I‘m sharing an ebook from my Kindle I haven‘t read yet with the word Family in it. This book sounds interesting.

Family is not just what your born with… it is also the family you make. #familylove #ithadtobeyou @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
Makayla visits a lot of different families that show their love in different ways!
This book is multicultural
It really explains how families are different but unique in their own way
I know I‘ve been pretty MIA for the last few weeks. I‘ve been spending lots of time with family and now at work I‘m training a rookie (it takes an incredible amount of time and energy!). My resolution this year is actually to read less. I want to get my nose out of a book and see my life! So here‘s a pic of my husband, wife, our kid, and me on Xmas.
This quote always puts me in mind of my #family - particularly the last sentence. I know I can call on my parents any time (and actually have a bit this year - it was a rough one) but I‘ve also got extended that I know I can call even if we haven‘t talked in a while. I‘m so #grateful for my family

1. Molly volunteered to stay awake briefly for this photo 😺
2. Litsy has been amazing for me, especially being at home with a bad shoulder injury these last few months! There's too many to tag, but you have all made me feel so at home here! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
3. I'm on it!

Happy Family Day to those who are celebrating today! 🎉 Although, technically it's Heritage Day in my province. I really don't care what they call it, I still have a paid day off 😂
Since my bf still has to work (sucker!) And my daughter is babysitting today I will be spending the day cleaning and getting caught up on some reading 👍
Enjoy the day #Littens ❤❤
I haven‘t been getting a ton of reading in mostly just hanging out. Thanksgiving was good, got to see my nephew! Something about my parent‘s house makes me want to sleep. Can‘t wait to get home tomorrow though to see Izzy.
Here's a photo that captures some of my #nonreadingpursuits #uncannyoctober - knitting, yoga, my kids, coffee and tea, Pilates. Also walking my dog, hiking, and cooking.
I'm #thankfulfor so many people in my life. My #dysfunctionalfamily (whom I love), my friends who are family by choice, my beautiful diverse church family, my also beautifully diverse in-laws, and my three men who bring me joy every day. Oh, and I can't forget my dear friend's husky, who possibly wants to steal my husband away. 😄#photoadayNov16 #dogsofLitsy *UL pic from summer vacation 2016 with the in-laws because I didn't take enough pics today
