I have read a few Lucy Dillon books and have enjoyed all of them. This was no exception!
Rachel is 39 and has just broken up with her partner, quit her job, and inherited a house and kennels from her Aunt Dot. Natalie and Johnny are trying for a baby but struggling, and Zoe is a single mum with 2 boys, whose ex buys them a puppy.
The relationships are all great, and I am a sucker for a romance that also has dogs 🤭

Rachel is 39 and not having the best year. She‘s split up from her partner, lost her job and left London too.
She‘s just found out she has inherited a dog rescue centre/kennels from her Auntie Dot.
Rachel knows nothing about dogs but takes on the new challenge- who needs rescuing: the dogs or Rachel? A great range of characters and some real laugh out loud moments. This was a really sweet and readable story.
The weather is beautiful today. I‘m sat outside reading the tagged book and Lola is keeping me company 🐶😎🐾📚

1. Tagged book
2. Mum and dad by Joanna Trollope
3. My last read: Loveless by Alice Oseman
The last of my library book haul to be read. Thought I‘d end with a rom-com. 📚❤️🐶
🐶 This was a fun, quick read and if you like a cute dog story you will probably like it too. One note though is that my cover has a Great Dane on it, but there are no Great Danes in the story. So if that‘s the story you‘re looking for this isn‘t it.
🐕 As you can see Stellaluna wishes there were Chihuahuas in Lucy Dillon‘s tale, but her mom is much more forgiving.

Started reading this tonight. Some easy reading is in order.
I swear, I only went in intending to buy just one $2.00 book (since my public library doesn't have it). $28 later (including a $2.00 donation for kids literacy)... And it also did my heart good to see a number of people waiting for the bookstore to open this morning. #bookhaul

Lucy Dillon always writes a dog into her stories. In this particular book, the story centres around a girl working to rehome dogs 🙂🐕🐩🐶
