I had nothing to live for, knowing well that I would never be released from my tortures except through death and the one thing that kept me tethered to life was my obsessive need to resist being broken down.

An interesting read spanning three different lifetimes about what it is like to be the other. The other - outsider, outcast, witch. Confronting in parts, it pulls no punches about the witch trials that haunt some parts of our history, yet still manages to be uplifting. Recommend if you want history, romance & some truths about how people are still treated today because they don't fit the expectations of society. #hexenhaus #nikkimcwaters

I finished hexenhaus on the way home - I've read a few things on witch hunts/trials this year and loved this set of three stories with different but connected takes on it. And to see the hysteria set in today's world too.

Some recent arrivals for the YA category of the Aurealis Awards. Have you read any of these?

JenniferEgnor Thanks to your post and tag, I discovered this book. I just got it a few days ago and now I'm starting to read it. 8y
Missusb Hope you like it. It showed a lot of injustice and made me angry. Grrr. But good books do that, do they? Make you feel something... 8y
