#Poetry #HopIntoSpring - This is a photo of Carol Ann Duffy, the British Poet Laureate. I remember studying her poetry in English class during my 5th year of secondary school! However nowadays I don‘t own any poetry books, being honest, I just don‘t get it at all. I wish I did but I‘ve just never managed to connect to any poetry. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Happy #NationalComingOutDay! I've never come out officially (as a teenager, my family seemed too conservative; as an adult, it seemed anticlimactic), but since I'm married to a man, I often feel invisibly queer. I guess this post is late, but: I'm bisexual.

Reading Carol Ann Duffy's "Warming Her Pearls" was a "lightbulb" moment for me. It's in this collection, which I've treasured ever since I bought it at Shakespeare & Co. in Paris 10 years ago.
