Fun and a little naughty 🔥. I like the narrator‘s ability to give the characters individual accents. An easy to listen to audiobook

Crossed dressing heroine + brooding alpha duke = my sort of catnip. I really enjoyed this and gobbled it up in a couple of sittings.
Fresh bedtime reading. I think it‘s due back at the library soon!
So much love for Elizabeth Hoyt 's newest release! It got me out of my book funk. Girl from slums dresses as boy to fight crime and doubles as informant, hired by King's bastard son, who is a Duke, to investigate ring of bad, bad men. It was romance, action, a little mystery, a glimpse of former characters, with a set up for the next book...but it was perfectly balanced! Hugh and Alf❤ #romamcy #georgianperiod # Elizabeth hoyt #whensthenextbook
This is excellent, which is all my soppy heart can put together right now. And I CRIED over my lunch during one scene (not that one, the one where Kyle talks to his son). Even though there's a bit of reinforcement of gender norms, it doesn't sound like Alf will be mewed up in the house serving tea or sewing or anything (and given how all the Ghosts retire upon HEA...). Also: Godric and Megs sighting (they're my favorite pair, still).
Hoyt does dark, dangerous and broody heroes extremely well... and this heroine was u our in her own right. #romantsy #historical

Book 11 of the Maiden Lane series. You want to read the others first. This was sweet and gorgeous and so exciting! The action was really amazing and the cast of characters are exceptional. I have been dying to read Alf' s story since I read Duke of Sin. I can't wait for book 12 in 2017. This cannot be stressed enought- you can read as a standalone, but you don't want to. It's better when you see it all. Comes out November 29, 2016.
couldn't sleep, so I read. work is going to stink today, but I regret nothing.
She might be a little in love with him. Not love love, mind. But love like the way she loved the sky and Hannah and the rooftops. He was special and wonderfully strange, was Godric St. John.
Down below was the dark woods, and she knew all about the woods from the fairy tales that her friend Ned had told her when she‘d been a wee thing. In the fairy-tale dark woods were witches and ghouls and trolls, all ready to eat you up. In the woods of St Giles the monsters were far, far worse.
Hugh Fitzroy, the Duke of Kyle , did not want to die tonight, for three very good reasons.
