Got about halfway and had to bail. The writing style was annoying me; it‘s as if the author thinks his readers are stupid and he has to dumb everything down. Not to mention, the “ancient wisdom” the monk learns is pretty much common sense and nothing I haven‘t heard before, so I was pretty bored. Just didn‘t wanna waste anymore time on this one…

I absolutely love this book! So many great practical tips for living a meaningful & purposeful life! One my my favourite quotes is “When we are born we cry while the world rejoice. We should live our lives in a manner that when we die the world cries while we rejoice!” Are you giving your all while you are here? Are you striving to become your highest and best self? Your life should be so impactful that the world feels the sting of your absence!

What a book! I enjoyed reading every chapter, even Chapter 9, that was very long but filled with a lot of valuable insights. Chapter 11 - ...” best time to plant a tree was forty years ago. Wonderful book...it's better to read it twice or thrice to absorb the concepts.
