Something translated from my tbr was Remarkably prescient in a speculative story about Dagestan imagining what cd happen if Russia built a wall dividing the 2 areas. In a culturally mixed country this sparks islamic radicalism. Told from a yng mans perspective it explores folk tales, poetry, and a proud history fighting ottoman and Soviet. A bk that had me confused but astonished at its brilliance.

After seeing these DIY book shelves in an old copy of the Martha Stewart magazine, I knew they would make perfect TBR shelves. Fortunately, my husband was happy to make them for me! 😍

These are on my bedroom wall, so I have easy access to my next (paperback) read.

It's nice to come home from a weekend away to find some book post- this is a Russian book that ive heard lots about recently and can't wait to try.
