I‘m now reading this third book in Patrick O”brien‘s collection of tales on the high sea. His lyricism is excellent. I am really enjoying this book. Already looking forward to the next one!

Patrick O‘Brien has joined the ranks of my top favorite authors. His work is incredible. His prose is on point. I will read everything he has ever written.

This may not sit well with some people but that‘s their problem. I am appalled by the treatment of African Americans. Our constitution states “ that we are all created equal.” Tell me why this stuff still goes on please.

I really enjoy historical fiction. I am definitely going to make it a point to read every book written by the Shaara family.

If you‘re a fan of historical fiction then I suggest this book. It made me feel like I was actually there with the men that decided our country‘s fate.

Book three in the trilogy featuring Penn Cage. For me it was a page turner that I couldn‘t wait to come out. The book, like the previous two before it, arises a lot of emotions. He is the best in his genre in my opinion..

The second book in his Penn Cage trilogy. I really liked this book. It was hard to put down.

First in an awesome trilogy. If you like mysteries with a great plot and characters then you will love this book. Set in Mississippi.

I really like the adventures in this book, but sometimes it just drags along.

This book pulled on all of my emotions. When I was little I was raised by women like the ones in this book. I loved them like they were my own parents. If you haven‘t read this yet make sure that you do. I loved it.

I like to read Homer. It is like going back into time. The Achaians and the Trojans are very interesting in this book. Ultimately there are many lessons to be learned. All of this over 1 woman. She must have been something!

This is a wonderful book. So much can be learned from Pip. Also sad. It will encapsulate a variety of emotions.

An English legend. Chaucer has his share of problems in life, just like all of us have. This work was the first I read in college. I made a “C.” Wake Forest was hard for me. Nevertheless, I reread it recently. No wonder I made a “C.” Lol.

This book is a book all of us have read. It shows what hatred some people have in their hearts. Thank God for people like Atticus.

I truly appreciate the young men that have gone to war. A saddening truth. I wish everyone were nonviolent. It‘s too bad that will never be the case.

Oh what I would give to be young again. It‘s no wonder that this is an endless classic.

Once again Pat Conroy delivers a wonderful plot and I couldn‘t put it down. I almost felt the warm sand of South Carolina between my toes.

I liked it. But all in all it made me sad. I have never loved a woman like that. I am still waiting for her.....

This is one of my all time favorites. Seems like Dickens was influential to John Irving. Excellent.

I struggled with staying awake sometimes but over all I thoroughly enjoyed it.
