This was a hard read for me. (All books centered on rape are.) So good, though. I enjoyed watching Joe grow up over the summer, seeing life through his eyes.

I loved this book. The expansion of the universe. Pepper's (and Blue's!) backstory. Lovelace's coming of age. The ongoing discussion of what makes a person a person, and how we treat people the government doesn't officially recognize as people. (And can we talk about how beautiful this foiled ARC is?) #sff #aliens #feminism
