I am in my element when turning the pages of a good book.

I am going to give this book four out of five stars, even though I have seen the movie, countless times. I love the character of Riddick, marooned on a planet with 10 others? He proves to be a somewhat unsettling, unpredictable leader/hero at the worst of times. The book follows the film faithfully, except for one noticeable change. But, it was still full of the horrors, and graphic scenes of monsters, who live in the dark!

I was offered this book to read and review by Rachel of Entrada Publishing, and it is a very informative book, as far as the subject goes. Written specifically for children aged 1-4 years, it explains basically that everyone 'poops'. Full of bright, colourful pages, it makes it very easy to carry the message on to the child or parent reading it.

I discovered today that NetGalley have a book blog, with challenges, book bingo's, a forum, competitions, etc. I didn't even realise, but now that I know, I thought that I would share the most recent bingo board for June. I am going to have a go too, and try to do at least one line before the end of the month. So if anyone would like to participate too, the link to BookishFirst is below.

We have had quite a cool weekend so far in my little town, with a bit of rain, and then a touch of sun, to make everyone feel a little relieved. I'm kind of hoping for a warmer winter, with no snow, and temperatures, that we can all tolerate. Am I asking too much maybe?

A bingo card with a theme using seasons eg: Icy (Winter), on the yearly calendar. I love challenges, and this one above, is simple but has mixed subjects, so the skies are the limit for genres! I might start with 'Icy', because here in the Southern Hemisphere, we are in our first month of the cold season☃️

I live in a small rural town, with nearly 3,000 people, and never was I happier to be there, during the recent global pandemic. It was a huge relief not to be caught up in the chaos of the cities.
