How to review an all-time favorite book? I try with "The Lord of the Rings", but don't expect any objectivity. And maybe a little thesis talk.

This book wasn't really what I was expecting and while I liked aspects of the book, I was never fully won over by it. I did, however, really like the way the story slowly unravels the lives of the characters and show the not-so-pretty truths underneath the lies we tell others and those we tell ourselves.
I read this book in Danish.
Rainy day reads. The second book in this series is even better than the first. I love how the story flows between the different characters and very clearly binds the storylines together. And what a cliffhanger ending! I need volume 3 asap. #saga #graphicnovel
Starting this today. I have almost all 12 books, I'm aiming to have read them all before I finish my thesis next summer. Especially volumes 7-9, which are more LotR-centric. But really I just want to geek out over my favourite books/universe and all the lore that professor Tolkien created. What's your favorite fictional universe? 📚❤️ #tolkien #lotr #lordoftherings
